Jason Momoa is gearing up for his role in the upcoming film ‘Dune: Part Three,’ and as a starter pack – the actor did something that he hadn’t done in six years. Reprising his role as Duncan Idaho, the 45-year-old shaved his iconic beard and documented himself while doing it.

“Only for you, Denis,” Momoa said in the video posted on Instagram, giving a shout-out to Dune’s director, Denis Villeneuve. A few seconds later, he proclaimed, “Goddamnit, I hate it!” The actor would be joining the franchise for the third instalment, after sitting out for the sequel.

Duncan Idaho (Jason Momoa), who plays the mentor of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), sacrifices himself near the end of the first film, which helps Paul and his mother escape.
The third instalment is likely to be based on the 1969 novel ‘Dune Messiah’ by Frank Herbert, where Idaho returned as a clone, but for Momoa’s part, it’s unclear about the definitive role. The ‘Aquaman’ actor would also be joined by his son, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, who would be playing one of the offspring of Paul and Chani.

Earlier this month, Momoa opened up about how his son did all the work alone, and he didn’t help him. “A rude awakening is what he’s in for,” he said in an interview with Extra, before adding, “He’s into the workforce for the first time.
It’s going to be good. He did it on his own. I don’t want to help him, and he’s done it all on his own, and good for him.”Furthermore, he continued, “You want your children to be better than you, and I really, actually believe he is. I couldn’t do what he’s doing at his age. There’s no way I could sit in a room with Denis Villeneuve and hold my own.” Adding his experience, Jason concluded, “I was on ‘Baywatch’ at 19. He’s 16 and holding s–t down with Denis Villeneuve.”
