Porvorim: I too erred and am ready to admit it, none should lose their cool in this manner, said chief minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday in the state legislative assembly, referring to him losing his composure after a few people in the viewer’s gallery on March 6 held placards to protest the Mirabag bandhara.“I operate as though there is ice over my head and sugar in my mouth. I do not easily lose my cool. Speaker sir, I have sat on that chair (of the speaker) and this chair (of the CM). House has never seen such an incident in the last 14 years. I suddenly said certain things, by mistake. It should not happen. I should also maintain my cool,” said the CM, during discussion on the budget.“But in the statement I made, I have not called them (the protesters) terrorists.

After Venzy Veigas (Benaulim MLA) spoke, I happened to utter the words,” Sawant said.During the budget discussion, Sawant referred to a project in a special school in Curchorem and said that Veigas needs to experience the lab in the school meant to calm down children. The CM said that Veigas tends to lose his composure. To this, Veigas and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai pointed out that Sawant had lost his composure completely over the protest in assembly.
