'I was like a prop': Elli AvrRam recalls 'insulting' experience as her scenes were cut from a big film

Elli AvrRam has been part of several notable projects. Her filmography includes 'Ganapath', 'Mickey Virus', 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon', 'Malang', 'Goodbye'. Elli has now opened up about a difficult experience from her film career.

The actress revealed that her role in a big project was reduced during editing. She described the situation as deeply disappointing and also emotionally challenging.

Elli AvrRam on reduced role

Elli AvrRam said in an interview with Bollywood Bubble that she was initially signed as the second female lead in the film. She explained that the project was meant to feature a hero and two prominent actresses. However, the final version did not reflect the original plan.

“There was this one film I was signed on as second lead. It was supposed to be a film with a hero, and two lead actresses. I was doing the film only because I was signed as the second lead.

Otherwise I would have not signed that film."According to Elli, several of her scenes were removed before the film’s release. She recalled feeling hopeful about her role’s presence during the dubbing phase.However, she later discovered that even those portions had been edited out.

This unexpected change shocked her.

Elli AvrRam's emotional reaction

Elli expressed her frustration over how her role was reduced in the final cut. She said her introduction scene was completely removed from the film. “Mera pura introduction hata diya, (They removed my entire introduction) matlab I am like a prop in that film. It’s like why is even Elli AvrRam part of this film? I have never felt more insulted in my entire career. Horrible. Very big film.

And the film also was a disaster a big flop.

It was ridiculous to even sit and try to watch that film. Because it was a different story now. It’s ridiculous," said Elli.

Elli AvRam's concerns over creative control

Elli also spoke about the lack of creative control during the filmmaking process. She suggested that key decisions were influenced by individuals close to the producers. This reportedly limited the director’s ability to shape the final product. “Even the director did not have a say. It was those sitting close to the producers that had a say. It is heartbreaking for the director also," she said.
