Major row over Smoothie King refusing service to man wearing Trump hoodie

A video of a woman complaining that her husband was refused services at a Smoothie King store in Michigan only because he was wearing a Trump hoodie went viral, forcing the company to take immediate action to fire two employees at that particular outlet.

But the controversy was far from ending there, as MAGA found out another Smoothie King franchise owner who cheered for the treatment meted out to the Trump supporter couple. Travis LeFlore, the franchise owner in Maryland, deleted his comment: "I own a Smoothie King as well, I wouldn't have served them either. Bye Bye."MAGA is now hunting down LeFlore, while Smoothie King said the brand does not believe in discrimination of any kind.

What happened at a Michigan Smoothie King?

In the viral video, a woman customer said: “We were just wanting a smoothie and you literally looked at us and I asked you if everything was OK and you said: ‘We don’t feel comfortable serving you’ because of my husband’s hoodie. That is discrimination."One of the employees then responded: "OK, well, have a great day." The woman replied: "That is illegal." Another employee said: "I said, 'Trump discriminates [against] us.'"

“OK, well that has nothing to do with us getting a smoothie," the woman who was making the video said. One of the employees then said: "OK, well that’s who you support though, that’s who you love.""What’s embarrassing is that we’re American citizens," the womman said. And then a Smoothie King employee then said that they have the "right to refuse service."“You asked a question and [the other employee] gave you an answer.

Have a great day. Have a great day. The door’s right there,” the employee said. Smoothie King responded to the viral video and said the brand is committed to ensuring that there is no discrimination. "Following an investigation into an incident involving a guest who was refused service at a franchised location in Michigan yesterday, the franchise owner has taken immediate action and the two employees involved are no longer with the business," the statement read.
