ICCI’s Uzhave Thalai 8.0 agricultural seminar to be held in Coimbatore on July 10

COIMBATORE: The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) will hold the eighth edition of its annual agricultural seminar “Uzhave Thalai 8.0” on Friday (July 10) at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore, alongside CODISSIA Agri Intex 2026.Addressing the media along with office-bearers, ICCI president Rajesh B Lund said the seminar has been organised annually since 2017. He said the initiative was commenced under the presidentship of Vanitha Mohan to coincide with Agri Intex.ICCI said Uzhave Thalai has grown into one of the chamber’s key knowledge-sharing platforms, bringing together progressive farmers, scientists, academicians, agribusiness leaders and industry experts to share practical knowledge, innovative technologies and successful farming practices.

The seminar is positioned as a forum for farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, students and other stakeholders to learn about emerging developments in agriculture.The one-day programme will run from 9am to 4pm. ICCI vice-president C Dorairaj will chair the seminar.Valluvan, a leading farmer from Pollachi and recognised by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations as a “Soil Farmer Hero,” will be the chief guest.ICCI said speakers would take up topics including Tamil Nadu’s agri-tourism potential, Mondelez’s role in cocoa development in the state, and vertical farming technology and opportunities.
