The second PU examination commenced at 51 centres across Mysuru district on Saturday amid elaborate arrangements made by the district administration to ensure their smooth and fair conduct. Nearly 36,000 students had registered for the examination.

A central control room was set up in the city to monitor the examination process, with webcasting facilities arranged at all centres across the district. Additional Deputy Commissioner P. Shivaraj visited the control room, supervised the webcasting proceedings, and interacted with department officials and mobile squads regarding the conduct of the examination.

As a precautionary measure to prevent malpractice, the police imposed prohibitory orders around the examination centres. All centres were equipped with CCTV cameras for continuous monitoring. Adequate security personnel were deployed across all centres in the district, and the administration ensured that all necessary precautionary steps were taken to maintain transparency and fairness throughout the examination process.

In Chamarajanagar district, Deputy Commissioner Shreerupa visited several second PU examination centres. She reviewed the arrangements in place and collected details regarding the number of students registered and those who appeared for the examination. She also inspected the webcasting facilities.

Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Mona Roth inspected the webcasting arrangements, while Superintendent of Police Muthuraj also visited examination centres to oversee security measures.

Out of 6,293 students registered in Chamarajanagar district, 6,173 appeared for the examination on the first day, while 120 students remained absent, according to PU Deputy Director Puttagowramma.
