In jail for over six months for recovery of 71 bottles of cough syrup; accused gets bail

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh high court vacation bench granted bail to person arrested under NDPS Act and MP Drug Control Act after recovery of 71 Onrex cough syrups from his possession at Amarpatan town in Satna district.Accused counsel said client falsely implicated in case. He has been in custody since November 17, 2025. Charge-sheet filed in case and no further requirement of custodial interrogation of accused. State government counsel opposed grant of bail.After hearing both sides, vacation bench of Justice Vishal Mishra allowed bail application asking for release of accused Shubham Patel on personal bond of Rs 50,000 and surety of same amount.
