Investigators believe the duo discussed every aspect of the plot, identifying vulnerable spots at Lohagad Fort from where Agarwal could allegedly be pushed into a gorge.

According to the police, Siya and Chetan met at a café on June 17 shortly before the crime and discussed the final details of their plan.
Fresh details have emerged in the sensational Lohagad Fort murder case, with investigators claiming that the alleged conspiracy to kill 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal was finalised at a café in Pune’s Kondhwa area just a day before the incident.
According to the police, accused Siya Goyal and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, met at the café on the evening of June 17 and meticulously planned the murder. Investigators believe the duo discussed every aspect of the plot, including the use of code words, identifying vulnerable spots at Lohagad Fort from where Agarwal could allegedly be pushed into a gorge, and coordinating their movements during the trek.
The latest revelations come as police continue to examine CCTV footage and other evidence gathered during the investigation.
Speaking on the case, Dinesh Tayde, Senior Police Inspector, said the incident was initially registered as an accidental death after Agarwal fell from a height at Lohagad Fort on June 18.
“Initially, when this incident occurred on June 18, it was registered as an accidental death. However, when we conducted a detailed investigation, we found that the accused had premeditated the murder. Accordingly, we registered an offence and arrested both accused," Tayde said.
Both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary were arrested and later produced before a court, which granted police custody until June 29.
The officer further revealed that CCTV footage played a crucial role in uncovering the alleged conspiracy. According to investigators, Chaudhary attempted to conceal his identity by wearing a hoodie and covering his face while ensuring he did not look directly at surveillance cameras.
“The second accused in the CCTV, Chetan Chaudhary, was trying his best to conceal his identity. He was wearing a hoodie, covering his entire face and was not looking at the camera even once," Tayde said.
Police also claim that the accused used pre-arranged signals to communicate during the trek.
“Apart from this, something else has also come to light. They were giving signals to each other as to when to stop and when to walk," the officer said.
According to Tayde, both accused initially acknowledged certain aspects of the investigation during questioning, though police have not disclosed further details. Investigators are continuing to probe the sequence of events leading up to Agarwal’s death and the alleged planning behind the crime.
The case has drawn widespread attention due to the chilling nature of the allegations and the emerging details surrounding the alleged conspiracy.
