LPG Shortage Crisis India LIVE Updates: Amid concerns over LPG supply disruptions, long queues were seen outside several gas agencies across major cities.

BPCL issued a statement and said that the domestic households are given top priority.
Amid the countrywide LPG shortage, the Centre has advised states and Union territories to invigilate the LPG supplies daily and take actions against violators. From domestic households to eateries, the daily operations are severely hampered as the supply of cylinders has been hit due to the ongoing war in the Middle East. Several restaurants in cities like Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai have warned that they will have to scale down operations if the condition remains the same.
Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi stated on Thursday that steps are being taken to manage the LPG crisis and that there are opportunities emerging for India to secure extra supplies. He mentioned that due to diplomatic sensitivities, certain details about supply routes through the Hormuz Strait cannot be disclosed.
Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) issued a statement and said that the domestic households are given top priority. Requests from other sectors are being assessed by a joint committee of LPG Executive Directors from BPCL, IOC, and HPCL, with allocations based on urgency.
