India has paused talks on US arms purchase amid the ongoing tariff tensions between the two countries, news agency Reuters reported, citing persons privy to the development.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's visit to the US has also been cancelled, the report added.

The development could not be independently confirmed by the time the preliminary reports emerged.
