India’s Rs 531 Billion Tile Market Surges as Vittero Opens ₹150 Cr Morbi Plant

Ahmedabad: India is the world’s second largest producer, consumer and exporter of ceramic tiles after China, accounting for about 11-15% of global production and about 10.9% of global consumption, while the Indian ceramic industry as a whole accounts for about 14% of global ceramic tile production.

The domestic tiles market was valued at Rs. 531 billion in 2025, growing at a CAGR of 6.7% from Rs. 360 billion in 2019. It is projected to expand to Rs. 3.769 billion by 2029.

Aparna Enterprises’ Vittero Tiles has inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Morbi, Gujarat. The new unit will primarily cater to the diverse needs of customers in North and West India and will offer a wide range of designs and elements at competitive prices.

The strategic expansion with an investment of Rs 150 crore reinforces its commitment to strengthen its presence in the market and become a major player in the tile market across the country.

The new plant has a total production capacity of 7.2 million square meters per annum and will contribute around 40% to the total production of Vittero Tiles.
