Shivamogga MP B.Y. Raghavendra on Sunday said the Narendra Modi-led Central government has completed 11 years with significant achievements in many fields.
In a press conference, Mr. Raghavendra said that under the effective leadership of Mr. Modi, the country had been marching towards development and would become Vishwaguru. It saw significant improvement on many fronts, including infrastructure facilities.
In the last 11 years, Mr. Modi introduced Digital India and Ayushman Bharat, and because of his vision, the defence sector in the country had become self-reliant, he said.
By launching Kissan Samman, the Prime Minister helped the farming sector. He worked for the welfare of women of the minority community by abolishing triple talaq. The abrogation of Article 370 and the amendment of the Waqf Act were among some of the government’s biggest achievements, Mr. Raghavendra said.
Answering a question on the facility for landing aircraft at night at the Shivamogga Airport, Mr. Raghavendra said that the work was in the final stages.
Legislators S.N. Channabasappa, Dhananjay Sarji, D.S. Arun, district BJP president N.K. Jagadish and others were present.
