An exclusive investigation by India Today has unmasked the alleged mastermind behind the Pahalgam terror attack, which left twenty-six people dead. One year after the massacre, the network has accessed the first-ever photograph and Pakistani identity documents of the terrorist, who carries a ten lakh rupee bounty from the National Investigation Agency. The investigation tracked his movements from Kasur in Punjab province to safe houses in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Visuals reveal his residence in Kasur and a safe house where he is seen using a mobile phone. According to the chargesheet filed by the National Investigation Agency, the mastermind directed the attack where victims were singled out based on their religion. Sources indicate that the terrorist is constantly changing identities and maintaining a low profile under the protection of Pakistani intelligence agencies. He was reportedly relocated to Islamabad to evade unknown gunmen tracking him.
