According to the All India Medical Students’ Association (AIMSA), students have been informed that they must first book confirmed flight tickets from Armenia to New Delhi and submit a copy of the ticket to the Indian Embassy. Only after verification will the Embassy notify them when they can travel from Shiraz to the Armenia border.

Officials have clarified that no student will be allowed to cross without a confirmed onward ticket.
At the Armenia border, students will be required to pay a visa fee of $10. Those who choose to cross earlier than their scheduled flight date will have to arrange their own accommodation in Armenia until departure. If 40 to 50 or more students opt for the route, the embassy may consider arranging a bus to facilitate movement.

More than 30 students from Urmia University of Medical Sciences have already booked tickets and are expected to reach New Delhi on March 15 via Dubai, departing at around 1:25 am. Additional students from Urmia are expected to arrive in India on March 16.
AIMSA mentioned that the remaining student body is closely monitoring the first group’s journey.
“Students informed AIMSA that if the first group safely reaches India, other students will follow the same route," the association stated.
Currently, there is no official government evacuation plan, and students choosing this path are doing so under their own responsibility, maintaining a 5-7 day buffer for the transit through Armenia.
