Amrit Bharat Express expansion: Launched in 2023, the Amrit Bharat Express train is not just a fast and affordable travel option, but it also comes equipped with advanced features such as semi-automatic couplers, fire detection systems, sealed gangways and talk-back units. This modern train comprise of 11 General Class coaches, 8 Sleeper Class coaches, 01 Pantry car and 02 Luggage cum Divyangjan coaches.
Amrit Bharat Express trains total count reaches 48
With the launch of nine new Amrit Bharat Express trains, the number of total services stands at 18 (nine in the UP direction and nine in the DOWN direction). With this, the total number of Amrit Bharat Express services across the network has increased to 48. During the calendar year 2025, Indian Railways introduced 13 Amrit Bharat Express trains, adding 26 services to the network.
