The advisory comes amid a dense fog warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for December 17.

IndiGo said misty winter conditions and reduced visibility could slow down flight movements.
IndiGo issued a travel advisory warning passengers of possible flight delays and adjustments as dense fog is forecast across parts of North and East India during early morning hours on December 17 (Wednesday).
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the airline said misty winter conditions and reduced visibility could slow down flight movements during the morning hours.
“In the interest of safety, some flights may experience delays or adjustments," IndiGo said, adding that its teams across airports are fully prepared and working in close coordination to manage schedules and assist passengers.
The airline also cautioned that foggy conditions may impact road traffic, leading to slower movement and longer travel times while commuting to airports. Passengers travelling early are advised to plan with additional buffer time and check their flight status on IndiGo’s website or mobile app before leaving home, the airline said.

The advisory comes amid a dense fog warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for December 17. According to the IMD, dense to very dense fog is very likely during the early morning hours at isolated pockets over Uttar Pradesh and East Madhya Pradesh.
Dense fog conditions are also expected across several other regions, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, West Madhya Pradesh, West Rajasthan and Odisha.
The weather department warned that severely reduced visibility could affect road, rail and air travel, leading to possible delays in transport services. Commuters have been advised to drive slowly, use fog lights, maintain a safe distance and stay updated with official weather advisories.
