Indore victims’ kin to get Rs2 lakh ex gratia each: Nitish

Patna: CM Nitish Kumar on Thursday expressed grief over the death of six people from Kishanganj district in Indore in Madhya Pradesh and announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased.The six people died in a fire in a house caused by a short circuit at a charging point for electric cars. The CM described the incident as very saddening.He also asked the state’s resident commissioner in Delhi to contact the officials of the Madhya Pradesh govt and make arrangements to send the mortal remains of the victims to their houses in their respective villages.
