Times News NetworkIndore: A 44-day-old infant died on Tuesday morning after falling from a bed and sustaining injuries at home in Rukmani Nagar, of Chhota Bangarda, under Aerodrome police station limits.
The incident occurred late Monday night.According to the police, the infant’s mother had gone to washroom when the infant rolled over and fell from the bed, which is approximately three feet high. The infant’s father, who was awakened by the sound of crying, found the baby on floor with injuries on face and mouth.The family immediately took the injured baby to a nearby private medical facility. Due to the critical nature of the injuries, doctors referred him to MY Hospital.
The infant succumbed to the injuries during treatment at around 5 am on Tuesday.The infant was identified as Priyanshu, son of Chandrashekhar Kumar. Aerodrome police station in-charge Virendra Singh Kushwah said that the police registered a death inquiry case and initiated formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall. A postmortem examination was conducted at MY Hospital.The family, originally from Bihar, resides in a rented accommodation in Indore. The infant’s father works locally as a tailor, and the couple has a two-year-old daughter.
