Infosys acquires Optimum Healthcare IT for up to $465 million

Bengaluru: Infosys has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Optimum Healthcare IT for up to $465 million, marking its largest acquisition in the healthcare segment, as the IT major looks to strengthen its capabilities and deepen its presence in the provider space.

The acquisition, which will be an all-cash deal, includes upfront payments and earnouts, excluding management incentives and retention bonuses. Infosys will acquire 100% of the equity share capital of Optimum Healthcare IT. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of FY2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.Founded in 2012, Optimum Healthcare IT is a US-based healthcare digital transformation and consulting firm, recognised for helping provider organisations drive large-scale clinical and operational transformation.

The company brings deep domain expertise and a proven delivery model, making it a strategic fit for Infosys’ healthcare growth ambitions.The deal will enhance Infosys’ presence in the provider segment by adding new clients and expanding relationships, while also strengthening its technology capabilities. Clients of Optimum Healthcare IT will gain access to Infosys’ broader offerings, including its AI platform Infosys Topaz, cloud suite Infosys Cobalt, and services spanning cloud engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application transformation.

Investment bank Harris Williams advised the company on the transaction.
