Meet the Super Bowl star’s parents and siblings

Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny is set to headline the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show, making history as the first Spanish-language-dominant solo artist. Beyond his global music success, the Grammy winner is deeply connected to his family.

Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny is all set to take the centre stage at the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 8, 2026. The singer who recently won a Grammy Award for 'Album of the Year', 'DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS' became the first Latin artist to achieve the feat in the history of the awards.

Now, he will be adding another feather to his cap by headlining the Super Bowl LX halftime show in Santa Clara on Sunday. He will be making history as the first Spanish-language-dominant solo performer to headline. But there's more to 'The King of Latin rap' than just his macho persona and groovy tracks. He's a family man to the core. While most of us have been tracking his dating escapades, here's who Bad Bunny calls family.

Bad Bunny's parents

On March 10, 1994, Bad Bunny was born as Benito Martinez Ocasio. The Latin singer grew up in a rural area of Vega Baja outside of San Juan, Puerto Rico with his mom Lysaurie Ocasio and dad Tito Martinez and two brothers. In 2018, Bad Bunny shared with The Fader, that when he sent the music video for 'Estamos Bien' to his mom, she cried with pride. “My mami and papi love my music,” he told the outlet. "They’re always listening to the radio waiting for one of my songs to come on."

While his mother was a school teacher who taught English, his father worked as a truck driver. In 2020, he shared with The New York Times, that he grew up in a stable lower-middle-class family of observant Catholics and his parents worked "to maintain."He revealed that he was raised by a "very religious" mom and thus a major part of his childhood included being at the Catholic church which is where he was invited to sing in the children's choir.

However, he quit by the time he turned 13 as he felt he was "too old for this."As per Vanity Fair, his own passion for rap music, his mom's love for pop and his dad's taste for salsa inspired him to begin uploading his own songs to SoundCloud in 2016. With his hectic schedule, his family attends his tours when they can and the rapper himself revealed to GQ, "I’m always in contact with my family, even when I can’t see them."

Bad Bunny's siblings

After Bad Bunny, Ocasio and Martinez welcomed two other sons, Bernie in 1997 and Bysael in 2002. Bernie made his runway debut, walking at the Willy Chavarria SS24 at New York Fashion Week in September 2023. He was also a part of his brother Bad Bunny's collaboration with Adidas, released in 2023.Unlike his older brothers who have ventured into creative fields, Bysael has found a love for sports, particularly baseball. After graduating from Carlos Beltron Baseball Academy, a specialised high school in Florida in 2020 he enrolled in Monroe College in Bronx, N.Y.

There he joined the JV baseball team in 2021, as per the school's athletic website. Bad Bunny has also brought his brothers on tour with him. “Benito is the most family-oriented person I know,” said the rapper's creative director to GQ in 2022. “He brought his middle brother along on tour as soon as he could, and when the younger one finished school he brought him along too. He loves it. It creates a family bubble for him.”Additionally, the trio also walked the red carpet together at the 2019 and 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards in Las Vegas. Now, it remains to be seen if members of the rapper's family will be spotted supporting him at the iconic Super Bowl performance.
