Inter 1st year student goes missing from KGBV

Hyderabad: A first-year Intermediate student of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Mancherial district was found to be missing, police said on Monday.According to Kotapalli police, the 17-year-old girl allegedly left the campus around 4am on Sunday without informing the authorities.

Her mother lodged a missing complaint after she could not be traced.Police have registered a case and formed special teams to locate the student. CCTV footage is being examined as part of the investigation, though no concrete leads have emerged so far, officials said.The incident comes days after two similar cases involving students from residential educational institutions in the state. A Class IX student who went missing from a residential school in Mancherial district on July 3 was traced the following day, while another Intermediate student who left a residential college in Kumuram Bheem district last month returned a week later.
