A 22-year-old woman from Delhi has reported an attempted sexual assault by a taxi driver during her journey to Nainital late on Thursday night. According to the police, she managed to escape and spent the entire night hiding in a forested area to evade her attacker.

Authorities have registered a case against the unidentified driver and are actively searching for him. The incident occurred when the woman, who was travelling alone, hired a taxi from Haldwani to Nainital around midnight.
