Sunrisers Hyderabad will return to home conditions as they face Lucknow Super Giants in the first game of Sunday’s IPL 2026 double-header at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. SRH head into the contest with confidence after opening their account in style. They registered a commanding 65-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders, becoming the first side this season to successfully defend a total. A dominant batting display saw them post 226, with key contributions from Heinrich Klaasen, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. Their bowlers backed it up with a clinical effort, bundling KKR out for 161 in under 16 overs.

Jaydev Unadkat led the way with three wickets, while Eshan Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy chipped in with two wickets each. On the other hand, LSG will be keen to bounce back after a disappointing outing against Delhi Capitals. Batting at home, they never quite found rhythm and were bowled out for 141. The total proved well below par as Delhi chased it down comfortably, powered by an unbeaten 70 from Sameer Rizvi, handing LSG a six-wicket defeat.

With SRH riding momentum and LSG looking to recover from an early setback, the clash sets up an interesting battle between two sides at different points in their campaigns.
