US-Iran War News: Iran strongly condemned the latest US military strikes on its territory, describing them as a “flagrant violation" of the UN Charter and warning that any country facilitating attacks against Iran could face retaliatory action. Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Washington of undermining regional stability, violating international law and breaching a ceasefire agreement. Tehran also called on the United Nations to hold the United States accountable for what it described as acts of aggression.

Iran warned that any nation allowing its territory or facilities to be used for military operations against the country could be considered a legitimate target for defensive action.

“The territory or facilities of any country used to launch military attacks against Iran may be regarded as the origin of aggression and treated as a legitimate target for defensive operations by the Iranian armed forces," the Iranian Foreign Ministry said.

Tehran also rejected comments attributed to US President Donald Trump regarding the outcome of recent discussions held in Muscat, Oman, calling the remarks “a complete lie". The Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the talks focused on arrangements concerning the management of the Strait of Hormuz and the security of international shipping routes. The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most strategically important waterways, handling a significant share of global oil and liquefied natural gas shipments.

Iran also criticised the United Nations Secretariat for what it called an inadequate response to recent US military actions. The Iranian Foreign Ministry urged UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the UN Security Council to take action against those responsible for the strikes, arguing that the attacks constituted a violation of international law and the UN Charter.

Tehran reiterated its demand for accountability, saying the international body must respond to actions that threaten regional peace and security.

The sharp exchange follows a fresh round of US military strikes against Iran on Sunday. US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the operation was aimed at further degrading Iran’s ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
