The Dallas Mavericks will have Cooper Flagg available for their game against the Atlanta Hawks on March 10, 2026, at State Farm Arena. The rookie forward is no longer listed on the injury report after recovering from a left midfoot sprain.Flagg has already returned to the court in recent games. In the March 6 matchup against Boston, he recorded 16 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. With no new injury concerns, he is expected to be part of the Mavericks rotation again tonight.
Cooper Flagg’s injury timeline and return
Cooper Flagg suffered the midfoot sprain on February 10 during a game against the Phoenix Suns. An MRI confirmed the injury soon after, and he missed several games, including the period around the All-Star break.
He returned in early March, appearing in games against Orlando and Boston. His minutes were limited in the first game back while the team monitored his recovery.
His role has increased since then. In one of his recent appearances, he scored 17 points as his playing time continued to rise. The 19-year-old former Duke player now enters the Atlanta game without restrictions and could return to the starting lineup.
Dallas Mavericks still dealing with several injuries
Dallas Mavericks will still be without key players despite Cooper Flagg’s return.
Kyrie Irving remains out after undergoing surgery on his left knee. Center Dereck Lively II is also unavailable after suffering a right foot injury that ended his season.Some players remain uncertain for the game. Moussa Cisse and Miles Kelly are listed as questionable after recent call-ups from the G League.The Mavericks will rely on the available core of Anthony Davis, P.J. Washington, Klay Thompson, and D’Angelo Russell alongside Flagg.
Atlanta Hawks enter with strong form but some injury concerns
Atlanta enters the game on a six-game winning streak and has a 33-31 record.Jalen Johnson has been one of the team’s most productive players this season. He is averaging 22 points and 10 rebounds per game.The Hawks also have several players on the injury report. Jonathan Kuminga is questionable because of a left knee bruise. RayJ, Kon Gilbert, and Asa Newell are listed as doubtful.Even with those concerns, Atlanta has more depth available compared to Dallas.
