FBI says viral video of alleged director Kash Patel dancing to Bollywood song is fake, confirms his personal email was hacked, US offers $10 million reward for info on hackers.

A video claiming to be of FBI Director Kash Patel dancing to a Bollywood song, has been widely shared on social media. The video has been termed as fake by the eofficial authorities.
The clip reportedly showed a man enthusiastically dancing to the Hindi song “Sun Sahiba Sun from the film Ram Teri Ganga Maili".
According to PTI, the video, which showed a man dancing in a casual setting while others cheer him on, has been shared with captions suggesting it surfaced after an alleged cyberattack by Iran-linked hackers, thereby linking it to an ongoing international development.

It claimed that it was a private clip was leaked from the hacked email account of Kash Patel. The video was shared by an Instagram user, ‘greyinsightsbharat’, on March 29.
“FBI Director Kash Patel’s Gmail Hacked by Iranian Hackers; His Alleged Dancing Video Leaked," read the text on the video.
This came days after a hacker group called Handala Hack Team, linked to Iran, recently claimed they breached FBI Director Kash Patel’s personal email.
Following the video going viral, several online users questioned “Is this Patel letting loose?" According to a report by Times of India, the AI tools like Grok initially pointed to a “strong facial resemblance (beard, hair, features, build)," suggesting it could fit the so-called “personal leak narrative."
In response to the video, the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Patel’s emails had been targeted. In a statement, FBI spokesman Ben Williamson said, “We have taken all necessary steps to mitigate potential risks associated with this activity." He added that the data involved was “historical in nature and involves no government information."
Besides, the US State Department’s Rewards for Justice programme has offered a $10 million reward for information leading to the identification of members of the hacking group.
