Doncic addressed the end of his engagement in a statement that focused on family circumstances involving their daughters.
The couple had been together since their teenage years in Slovenia and became engaged in July 2023 after nearly a decade of dating.“I love my daughters more than anything and I’ve been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the U.S. during the season, but that hasn’t been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement,” Dončić said. “Everything I do is for my daughters’ happiness and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can.”According to reports, Goltes moved back to Slovenia in 2025 and filed a petition in the United States seeking child support and attorney fees. The filing does not request custody. The couple shares two daughters, Gabriela and Olivia, both currently living with their mother.The Slovenian star is averaging over 32 points per game this season and continues to lead the Lakers’ offense during a competitive Western Conference race.
