Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will not play for the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Golden State Warriors on March 7, 2026. The guard remains out as the team continues to manage an abdominal strain.The injury has kept him out since early February. Gilgeous-Alexander has missed several games during that period, including matchups against the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks. Oklahoma City has not provided a timeline for his return.

The Oklahoma City Thunder enter the game with a 49-15 record and hold the top spot in the Western Conference. The team has also been strong at home this season and ranks among the league’s best defensive units.
Golden State arrives with a 31-30 record and sits eighth in the conference standings. The Warriors are trying to stay in the play-in race while dealing with multiple injuries. Brandin Podziemski has taken on a larger role and has averaged 14.1 points over his last 20 games. Jonathan Kuminga and Trayce Jackson-Davis are also expected to see increased minutes.The game will be played at Paycom Center and will be broadcast nationally on ABC.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
Abdominal strain keeps Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sidelined
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander first dealt with the abdominal strain during a game against the Orlando Magic in early February. The injury forced him to miss time before and after the All-Star break.Earlier in the season, he was averaging 33.6 points per game. He briefly returned after the break but played limited minutes and has since remained out. As of March 7, he has missed at least seven straight games while the Thunder focus on his recovery.
