Walker Kessler’s injury report vs Sacramento Kings (March 15, 2026)
Walker Kessler’s 2025-26 season lasted only a few games. The shoulder problem had been present since his college years at Auburn and became worse early in the season.
He played in the first five games before the team decided to shut him down for further evaluation. During those games he showed the defensive impact that made him important to Utah’s lineup, especially with rebounding and rim protection. After medical checks, the team chose surgery in November. The operation ruled him out for the rest of the season.
His recovery will be important this offseason. Kessler is set to become a restricted free agent, so his progress during rehabilitation could affect his future with the Jazz.
The team hopes he will return fully healthy for the 2026-27 season.
