Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has urged world leaders to take decisive action against Iran, warning that the ongoing conflict has reached a critical juncture with implications far beyond the Middle East.

Speaking during a media interaction, Netanyahu said Israel’s military operations are focused on dismantling what he described as Iran’s growing nuclear and missile threat. He called on the international community, particularly the United States and its allies, to step in and intensify pressure on Tehran.

“It’s time for them to act," Netanyahu said, stressing that the situation is not just a regional issue but a global security concern.

Outlining the nature of the threat, Netanyahu pointed to Iran’s alleged pursuit of nuclear weapons, expansion of ballistic missile capabilities, and its support for proxy groups across the region. He claimed that these factors together pose a serious risk not only to Israel but to global stability.

The Israeli Prime Minister also alleged that Iran has been accelerating its nuclear programme and could reach weapons capability within a short span if left unchecked. He described this as a “dangerous tipping point" that requires urgent intervention.

Netanyahu further claimed that Israeli strikes in recent days have significantly weakened Iran’s military infrastructure. According to him, key facilities linked to missile production and defence systems have been targeted, reducing Iran’s ability to respond effectively.

However, he acknowledged that the conflict is far from over and warned of continued escalation. “We are in the midst of an intense confrontation. There are more challenges ahead," he said.

In addition to military concerns, Netanyahu highlighted the broader implications of the crisis, including threats to global energy supply chains. With tensions centred around critical regions such as the Strait of Hormuz, any disruption could impact oil flows and trigger economic instability worldwide.

The Israeli leader emphasised the need for coordinated global action, arguing that a fragmented response would only embolden Iran. He reiterated that the stakes are too high for inaction, calling on world powers to move beyond statements and take concrete steps.

Netanyahu’s remarks come at a time of heightened tensions in West Asia, with continued exchanges and rising fears of a wider regional war. As diplomatic efforts struggle to keep pace with developments on the ground, his call for intervention is likely to intensify international debate over how to respond to the crisis.

With the situation evolving rapidly, global attention remains fixed on whether major powers will heed Netanyahu’s call or continue to tread cautiously amid the escalating conflict.
