IUML demands implementation of house-sticker verification system for SIR

Indian Union Muslim League in Telangana demanded stricter implementation of the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls, to ensure transparency.

Mohammed Shakeel, president of the IUML, Telangana, has submitted a representation to the Chief Electoral Officer, citing widespread reports of partisan conduct by BLOs, unauthorised data collection by political entities via private apps, and systemic exclusion of voters through “deliberate clerical errors”.

​ These malpractices are creating an environment of fear and confusion, threatening the disenfranchisement of vulnerable citizens, minorities, and NRI voters, he said, and demanded the immediate and universal implementation of the house-sticker verification system. While the CEO has already issued guidelines to the GHMC regarding this sticker initiative, strict, uniform execution across the entire State is required for accountability.
