Panaji: Amidinstances of domestic tourists clicking photos with foreign womentourists, Goa police on Friday launched a drive against tourists coming to the state and infringing the privacy of domestic and international tourists by clicking photos without their consent, reports Murari Shetye.Calangute PI Paresh Naik said anyone clicking photos on the beach with tourists will be placed under preventive arrest for a day, and the mobiles seized. “We will act against domestic tourists who infringe the privacy of domestic and international tourists,” he said.Police have started patrolling the beaches and taking action if they find any domestic tourist harassing tourists or taking photos without consent.In the last two days, there was a rise in incidents of domestic tourists, mostly around Calangute and Baga beaches, harassing foreign nationals and forcing them to click photos with them.Calangute PI said that they took swift action in such cases and arrested two men from Tamil Nadu who were allegedly clicking photographs of tourists without their permission on Baga beach on Friday.P Arantha, 43 and Vijay Thirupathi, 38, both natives of Tamil Nadu have been arrested, police said.
