World Number 1 Jannik Sinner moved into the final of Wimbledon 2025 with his win over Novak Djokovic in the semifinal of the grass court Major, and will take on two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the summit clash on Sunday.
The Wimbledon championship clash between Sinner and Alcaraz is billed as a rematch of the French Open final, in which the Spaniard got the better of the Italian.

Sinner revealed that, despite his defeat at Roland Garros fresh in memory, he wasn’t too focused on the result in Paris ahead of the encounter in London.
“I think if it would be a lot in my head, I would not be in the situation to play a final again, I guess," the top-seeded Sinner said.
“I’m very happy to share once again the court with Carlos. It’s going to be difficult, I know that. But I’m looking forward to it," the 23-year-old continued.
“I try always to put myself in these kind of situations that I really love. Sundays at every tournament are very special," he said in anticipation of the encounter.
Sinner led the final at Roland Garros by two sets before Alcaraz clawed his way back to clinch the title in a thrilling five-setter, but the Italian opined that the game at SW19 is a different fixture and he was considering it as such.
“I think it’s something what you feel before the match and also during the match. I can give you answers after," he said.
“But no, it’s different. Different match. I’m looking forward to it," the top ranked played added.

Alcaraz swept past Djokovic in the final of the 2023 and 2024 editions of the Wimbledon and is on track to do a three-peat at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
“He won here two times in a row,. He’s again in the final. It’s very tough to beat him on grass, but I like these challenges," Sinner acknowledged.
“I like to go head-to-head and trying to see what I can do and what I can reach."
Sinner won the Australian Open earlier in the year, while Alcaraz clinched the French Open title. The youngsters picking up Grand Slam titles has ushered in talk of a paradigm shift in the sport from the era of the traditional top-three to the era of the young guns.
“You cannot compare what the big three did for 15-plus years. Six Grand Slams are one-and-a-half years. It’s not that big yet," Sinner stated.
“Of course, we find ourself, again, in this position. This is the second consecutive Grand Slam that we are in the final and playing each other, which is great from my side."
“I believe it’s good for the sport. The more rivalries we have from now on, the better it is, because people want to see young players going against each other," the three-time Grand Slam champion said.
“I’m happy to be in that position, but let’s see in the future. If we can make that happen for the next three, four years, then people can think about. Let’s see," he signed off.
