Jannik Sinner had to really fight on court, but he still got the job done at the Miami Open. The World No. 1 beat Alex Michelsen in straight sets, 7-5, 7-6(4), to move into the quarterfinals.
It was not an easy win. Both sets were very close, and Michelsen kept pushing till the end. In the middle of all that pressure, one moment stood out. Sinner hit a fast shot straight at Michelsen at the net, and it caught everyone’s attention. It was not on purpose, but it still created an awkward pause in an otherwise tight match.Even with that moment, Sinner stayed calm and focused. He held his serve in big points and managed the tiebreak better.

Sinner ran forward and smashed the ball across the court. The shot ended up hitting Michelsen’s racket at close range.
Alex Michelsen looked surprised because he had already turned slightly away. Sinner quickly said sorry, and both players shared a small smile at the net. The moment passed quickly, but it showed how fast things happen in tennis.Even though the ball landed out, it touched Michelsen’s racket first, so the point went to Sinner.
Soon after, Sinner took the first set 7-5.After the match, Sinner spoke honestly about his performance. He said, “I felt like the serve helped me quite a lot today, especially in important moments and in the tie-break, so I’m happy about that.”He also admitted he still needs to improve. “At the same time, I know that if I want to go far in this tournament, I have to improve from the back of the court.”Jannik Sinner also gave respect to Michelsen. “It was very close. A very close match against Alex. He’s a tough opponent, so I’m very happy.”Now, Sinner moves into the quarterfinals, where he will face Frances Tiafoe. That match will decide who goes into the final four.
