Filmmaker Ujjwal Chatterjee has announced his new Bengali political satire, 'Hirak Ranir Deshe,' inspired by current social issues. The film, featuring veteran actress Jaya Prada's return to Bengali cinema alongside a strong cast, promises an engaging narrative exploring power and governance.
National Award-winning filmmaker Ujjwal Chatterjee unveiled his upcoming Bengali film, Hirak Ranir Deshe, at a press conference in Kolkata on Tuesday. Inspired by contemporary social realities, the film is a political satire that examines themes of power, governance and society through an engaging and thought-provoking narrative.

The film marks the return of veteran actress Jaya Prada to Bengali cinema. The cast also includes Rajnandini Paul, Badsha Moitra, Bhaswar Chatterjee, Amrita Chattopadhyay, Kharaj Mukherjee and several others in pivotal roles.Speaking about the film, Chatterjee described Hirak Ranir Deshe as a reflection of present-day issues, using satire as a powerful tool to comment on the changing socio-political landscape.
