After the podium finishers of the current season dominated the top six positions in the first free practice (FP1) at the Jeddah E-Prix, Dan Ticktum emerged as a new driver to top FP2.
The Cupra Kiro driver was the fastest in the second free practice session at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Friday. He was followed by Andretti’s Jake Dennis in second and Porsche driver Pascal Wehrlein in third, both of whom also ranked among the top three in FP1.
Jeddah E-Prix 2026 FP2 results
Cupra Kiro driver Dan Ticktum recorded the fastest lap time of 1m15.343s in Jeddah E-Prix FP2 on Friday. Pascal Wehrlein and Jake Dennis, who finished second and third in FP1, switched places in FP2, continuing their strong form in Jeddah.
While Dennis won Round 1 in Sao Paulo this season, Wehrlein secured a third-place podium finish in Round 3 in Miami.The rest of the order saw Nissan’s Norman Nato in fourth and Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara in fifth. Jaguar TCS Racing’s Antonio Felix da Costa finished sixth in FP2. Maximilian Gunther, who topped FP1 on Thursday, ended the session in seventh.DS Penske’s Taylor Barnard was eighth, followed by Andretti rookie Felipe Drugovich in ninth and DS Penske’s Jean-Eric Vergne in 10th.
The highlight of FP2 was Oliver Rowland hitting the barrier at Turn 16, which damaged the front-right of his car ahead of the crucial qualifying session in the evening. He retired from FP2 despite being the fastest driver on track before the crash.
What’s next at the Jeddah E-Prix
After a few hours’ break, Round 4 qualifying will start at 3:40 p.m. local time (6:10 p.m. IST), followed by the race at 8:05 p.m. local time (10:35 p.m. IST). Saturday will follow the same schedule, beginning with FP3 in the early afternoon, followed by qualifying in the evening and the Round 5 race under the lights.The Pit Boost feature will come into play during the double-header, adding an extra strategic element alongside Attack Mode.After the conclusion of the race weekend, the special Formula E Evo Session is scheduled for Sunday.
