Cowboys Wire’s K.D. Drummond suggests the Dallas Cowboys could adopt the Los Angeles Rams’ strategy and trade all their picks to bring back veterans. The Jerry Jones’ franchise has two draft picks: 114th in the fourth round and 180th in the fifth round.

They could offer these two to the Baltimore Ravens to acquire veteran cornerback Marlon Humphrey in return. In the 2025 season, Humphrey recorded 68 total tackles (53 solo), four interceptions, 13 passes defended, and two forced fumbles. According to Pro Football Focus, his overall grade was 50.1, ranking him 105th out of 114 qualified cornerbacks that season. His PFF coverage grade was 43.8, which ranked him 112th among others, and his PFF run-defense grade was 78.9, which ranked him 9th among others.

NFL Trade Rumors: Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey linked to Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys

Dallas added Cobie Durant from Los Angeles, but he may have to compete for the starting role. Hypothetical situation: DaRon Bland and Shavon Revel Jr. are both not ready to take up a spot in the starting lineup. Neither of them may look like a long-term fit because of their natural inclinations. The new defensive coordinator, Christian Parker, may have a more zone-oriented scheme. And the duo might clash with Parker’s style.

The DC may not want to put up with players who wouldn’t play his preferred style, especially the ones with injury concerns. Bland was placed on injured reserve in Dec. 2025 due to a persistent left foot fracture requiring surgery, whereas Revel suffered a torn ACL in Sept. 2024 during practice at East Carolina, which delayed his NFL debut until late 2025 as he was rehabbing. The DC may want to give up on in-house CBs and go with someone experienced.

That’s where Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey comes into the picture: his playing style may match DC Christian Parker’s scheme; he has more zone ability than Bland and Revel. As for his contract, he is in the final year of his deal in 2026, and he is set to make $15M. He has three void years. His contract could be restructured or extended. Drummond suggests, “a simple extension adding a year at similar pay and two more voids could make him just a $4M blip on the team’s 2026 cap space.” Anyhow, Jerry Jones may have competition for Humphrey in the form of the New York Giants.

Baltimore cornerback tied to New York in trade package

FOX Sports’ Ralph Vacchiano suggests a trade package for Baltimore and the New York Giants. The Giants could acquire CB Marlon Humphrey; but it would cost them to lose their 2026 fourth-round 105th overall pick and 2027 conditional seventh-round pick.A lot of pressure may be put on Giants CB Greg Newsome. He was newly acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars only this offseason.

Veteran Paulson Adebo has suffered from injuries in the last two seasons. And the analyst calls Deonte Banks a bust.Whereas Humphrey is a 4X Pro Bowler and 2X All-Pro. He will be 30 years old and carries a $15M salary; he may not cost more than a Day 3 pick. His total career earnings over nine seasons amount to $101M.Anyhow, the analyst says Baltimore may be able to get by without him: veteran Chidobe Awuzie was re-signed this offseason, and 2024 draft pick Nate Wiggins is a developing starter.

As for Humphrey, he may reunite with his former head coach John Harbaugh in New York.A blockbuster trade could happen if the Giants “entice” the Ravens with EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux. In April 2025, Spotrac reported on X that New York had exercised a $14.75M 2026 fifth-year option salary for EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux. This move locks him in at two years and $19.7M, fully guaranteed.Big Blue View’s Ed Valentine reports that the Giants would consider moving on from Thibodeaux if they were offered a Day 2 pick in return. John Harbaugh recently made it clear that everyone is tradeable. So, would Harbaugh’s team consider this trade deal? Or would it be Jerry Jones’ franchise? Only time will tell…
