Jia Narigara: After giving the exams, I go directly to the set

Young actor Jia Narigara, known for shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Kumkum Bhagya, Jhanak and Ishq-e-Nadaan, is currently seen as Samaira Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2.

The current storyline focuses on how the conflict between her parents, Karan and Nandini, begins to affect Samaira’s mental health. Alongside the emotional storyline on screen, Jia is also managing an important phase in her real life — her final school exams. “So right now my exams are going on, and after giving the exams, I go directly to the set,” she shares. “Thanks to my school, I am able to manage things. It is the most supportive school I’ve ever seen.” She says the school has been understanding about her schedule. “I told them that I have shoots and sometimes I have to reach the set early, and they didn’t argue at all. They just supported me. After my exams, I go straight to the set, and they always wish me luck.” According to Jia, her teachers and school staff are proud to see her on television. “Every teacher, supervisor and principal in my school watches the show. They are very happy that I work in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.”

She also credits the production team for adjusting her schedule during exam time. “The creative team is very supportive. They gave me a later call time because of my exams. They told me to finish my exams peacefully and then come to the set. I’m really happy that I’m able to manage both — finishing my exams on time and continuing my shoot.”
