The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the Round 3 cutoff list for 2026 on its official website, josaa.nic.in. The cutoff has been published in the form of opening and closing ranks for different institutes, branches and categories.Candidates who appeared in the counselling process can now check the Round 3 cutoff to know the ranks at which admissions were offered in this round.The cutoff has been released separately for different categories, including Open, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).The Round 3 cutoff includes admission ranks for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs).

How to check JoSAA Round 3 cutoff 2026

Candidates can follow these steps to download the cutoff list:

  • Visit the official JoSAA website at josaa.nic.in.
  • Click on the eServices tab.
  • Select the Opening and Closing Rank 2026 link.
  • Choose the institute, branch and seat category.
  • The Round 3 cutoff list will appear on the screen.
  • Download and save it for future reference.

Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 3 should complete the admission process according to the following schedule:

What should candidates do next?

After the Round 3 seat allotment, candidates must log in to the JoSAA counselling portal and respond to their allotted seat within the given deadline.They can choose one of the following options:

  • Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and do not participate in further counselling rounds.
  • Float: Accept the seat but remain eligible for a higher preferred choice in the next rounds.
  • Slide: Accept the allotted institute but seek a better course within the same institute in future rounds.

Candidates who decide to accept their allotted seat must also pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF). The fee is Rs 30,000 for candidates belonging to the Open and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories, while candidates from the reserved categories are required to pay Rs 15,000.Candidates are advised to complete all admission formalities within the prescribed schedule to avoid cancellation of their allotted seat.
