Journalist hacked to death in Chittoor district

Unidentified assailants hacked a vernacular newspaper journalist to death at the V Kota Mandal headquarters early Tuesday morning (April 28, 2026). According to police, the deceased, identified as Jaganmohan Reddy (30), was out on a morning walk with another person when he was attacked.

Police suspect the involvement of two individuals in the incident. The assailants allegedly chased Jaganmohan Reddy through the lanes of the town and attacked him with lethal weapons, resulting in his death.
