Fans of the star also shared how much they loved and looked up to Junior, with one commenting, “My condolences to you all. I am so sorry for your loss. You guys are my favourite on Swamp People. You and your dad got a lot of fight in y'all, which Junior instilled in y'all. I know I'm just a stranger, but I'm sending hugs to you all, but would you give Mama Teresa a hug from me. I'll never forget when Junior and Teresa was taking care of Oscar the Otter, and when it was time to release him back into the wild, Junior teared up, and I just bawled”.
