Justice R Raghunandan Rao retires from AP high court

Vijayawada: Justice R Raghunandan Rao retired from service after six and a half years as judge of the Andhra Pradesh high court. A full court farewell was extended to Justice Raghunandan Rao on Monday.Justice Raghunandan Rao was elevated to the bench from the bar, and he rendered more than 25,000 judgments in his career. Chief Justice Lisa Gill praised Justice Raghunandan Rao for his contributions both on the judicial and administrative side of the high court. Justice Raghunandan Rao said that his tenure as judge was satisfactory. He said that the AP High Court has been working with 100% efficiency for the past few years and, as of today, the number of cases being disposed of is more than the number of cases being filed.Judges of the high court, registrars, advocate general, high court staff, members of the bar association, bar council and advocates participated in the farewell.
