Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha has triggered a storm within the party by directly blaming her own colleagues for damaging former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s image.
Kavitha alleged that senior BRS leader and ex-minister T Harish Rao and former Rajya Sabha MP 'Megha' Krishna Reddy played a role in attaching the “corruption tag” to KCR. She further said she had to endure conspiracies within the party, pointing fingers at Harish Rao and Santosh Kumar.
“BRS cadres must think, how did a stain of corruption get attached to KCR? It is because of those around him. Harish Rao and Krishna Reddy played a role. I endured all the conspiracies by Harish Rao and Santosh Kumar,” she claimed
Her remarks come amid internal rifts within the BRS, with Kavitha blaming senior party leaders for damaging KCR’s image and for sidelining her in party affairs.
On the Kaleshwaram irrigation project, Kavitha defended her father’s vision, calling it a “great asset” that people would remember for 200 years. She maintained that KCR would emerge “as pure as a pearl” from the ongoing CBI inquiry.
Criticising the Congress government, Kavitha said it was wasting time in the name of the PC Ghose Commission and questioned why it had not approached the Supreme Court on BC reservations. She alleged that Telangana’s BCs were being sacrificed for the Bihar elections and announced that they would campaign against Congress in Bihar.
Taking a direct swipe at Revanth Reddy, she said his photos “do not get published unless he mentions KCR’s name.” Kavitha also warned trolls online, saying, “If you troll me on social media, I will skin you alive.”
