KAHER felicitates chancellor Kore on Padma Shri honour

Belagavi: The KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), a Deemed-to-be University, felicitated its chancellor, Dr Prabhakar Kore, on Wednesday following his conferment of the Padma Shri, one of the country’s highest civilian honours, in recognition of his contributions to education, healthcare and literature.The felicitation ceremony was attended by KLE Society president Mahantesh S Koujalagi, vice-president Basavaraj S Tatavati, members of the Board of Management, life members of the KLE Society, university officials, faculty and staff. Welcoming the gathering, KAHER registrar Dr VM Pattanshetti read out a citation highlighting Dr Kore’s visionary leadership and his role in strengthening education, healthcare, research and literature through KLE institutions.Expressing gratitude for the honour, Dr Kore dedicated the Padma Shri to the teachers and staff of the KLE Society, saying their commitment and collective efforts over the past 110 years had been instrumental in the institution’s growth.“This honour truly belongs to the entire KLE family,” he said. Congratulating Dr Kore, KAHER vice-chancellor Dr Sandeep Shrivastava described the Padma Shri as a proud moment for the entire KLE fraternity. He said the award was a fitting recognition of Dr Kore’s visionary leadership and lifelong service, which have transformed institutions and inspired generations.Senior academician Dr HB Rajashekhar said Dr Kore’s leadership had strengthened the KLE Society across the fields of education, healthcare, agriculture, research and literature, earning it national and international recognition.
