KAHER deemed-to-be University’s Kannada Balaga and KLE School of Music successfully organised Vachanotsava-2026 at the JN Medical College campus on Wednesday
Belagavi: KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER) (deemed-to-be) University’s Kannada Balaga and KLE School of Music organised Vachanotsava-2026 on JN Medical College campus Wednesday, to introduce the younger generation to Basaveshwara’s teachings and the values enshrined in ‘vachana’ literature.
More than 1,000 students, faculty and staff from various KLE institutions came together to render 35 selected ‘vachanas’ in a mass singing presentation. Basava Marulasiddha Swami, Basava Tatwa Peetha, Chikkamagaluru, and Basava Kendra, Shivamogga, highlighted the significance of the Anubhava Mantapa as a pioneering democratic forum promoting equality and social harmony. Prabhakar Kore, chancellor of KLE Deemed University, emphasised the importance of ‘vachana’ literature in shaping ethical, value-based lives and appreciated the participation of the KLE fraternity. Prof VM Pattanshetti, registrar; Rajesh Powar, principal, JN Medical College; and the honorary president of Kannada Balaga spoke.
