Kalaburagi: Advocate hacked to death

A 45-year-old advocate and private financier was hacked to death by unidentified assailants on Old Jewargi Road in Kalaburagi city on Thursday (April 2) evening.

According to the police, the assailants attacked the deceased, identified as Anil Rathod, with sharp-edged weapons, resulting in his death on the spot. Initial investigations indicate that the attackers were likely known to the victim.

City Police Commissioner Sharanappa S.D and other senior officials inspected the spot. The police have formed a special investigation team led by Assistant Commissioners of Police to trace and apprehend the accused.

A case has been registered at the Station Bazaar police station.
