'Kalamkaval' box office collections day 5: Mammootty's film hits Rs 22.20 cr, Registers strong Tuesday hold

Mammootty’s latest action-drama 'Kalamkaval' continues to enjoy a powerful run at the box office.The film has now crossed the Rs 20 crore milestone within just five days. According to early estimates from the Sacnilk website, 'Kalamkaval' collected Rs 2.80 crore net on Tuesday, taking its total India net to Rs 22.20 crore.

Strong Tuesday occupancy

Despite being a working weekday, 'Kalamkaval' registered an impressive 32.14% overall occupancy in the Malayalam belt on December 9.Morning shows started steady at 15.40%, which climbed to 30.25% in the afternoon. The momentum picked up further by the evening with 39.12%, culminating in a strong 43.79% occupancy for night shows.

Weekend surge, Monday dip

According to the reports, 'Kalamkaval' earned Rs 5 crore on Day 1, Rs 5.5 crore on Saturday, and Rs 6 crore on Sunday.
