Performances and critical reception

The cast includes Mammootty, Vinayakan, Gayatri Arun, Rajisha Vijayan, and Gibin Gopinath. ETimes wrote, "Mammootty remains the film’s biggest asset, delivering a performance sharpened by stillness and cold precision. Vinayakan matches him with a brooding, tightly coiled presence, though the screenplay could have offered him more depth. Despite strong performances, the uneven momentum prevents Kalamkaval from fully blooming into the gripping crime drama it aims to be.

"On the other hand, Mammootty's previous film was the actioner 'Bazooka' which received mixed reviews from the audiences and turned out to be a flop.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
