Over the years, several Bollywood celebrities have turned their real estate purchases into profitable investments, and Kalki Koechlin is the latest actor to join that list. Known for her performances in films such as 'Dev.
D', 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Margarita with a Straw', the actor has reportedly earned a healthy return from a property she owned in Mumbai's sought-after Andheri West neighbourhood.According to property registration documents reviewed by SquareYards, Koechlin has sold her apartment in Varsova Kiran Co-operative Housing Society Ltd for Rs 2.55 crore. The residence, spread across 1,230 sq ft of carpet area, was purchased by Yuvraj Ahuja.
The transaction was registered on April 21, 2026. Records show that stamp duty worth Rs 16.08 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000 were paid as part of the deal.
Significant appreciation over the years for Kalki Koechlin's house
The sale has resulted in a notable gain for the actor. Having purchased the apartment for Rs 1.95 crore in December 2015 and sold it for ₹Rs crore, Koechlin is estimated to have earned an appreciation of approximately Rs 60 lakh over the holding period. According to SquareYards, the transaction reflects a capital gain of nearly 31 percent on the original investment, highlighting the steady value growth witnessed in Mumbai's premium residential market over the last decade.

Kalki's transaction comes shortly after another high-profile real estate deal involving actor Kriti Sanon and her family. Kriti, along with her sister Nupur Sanon and mother Geeta Sanon, recently sold four apartments in Andheri West for a combined value of Rs 8.9 crore.According to Hindustan Times, the properties were reportedly purchased between 2013 and 2017 for around Rs 4.31 crore. The latest sale generated an appreciation of approximately Rs 4.6 crore, resulting in a capital gain of nearly 107 percent.
Filmmaker and casting director Mukesh Chhabra emerged as the buyer in those transactions.
