The 71st National Film Awards for 2023 have been announced. Awards are given to selected films and outstanding artists from various languages of Indian cinema. ‘Parking’ is a Tamil film that has won the National Award in three categories: Best Tamil Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor.
M.S. Bhaskar won the award for his heart-touching performance. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan bagged his first National Award in his 35 years of cinema life, and he has been chosen as the Best Actor award for his role in Atlee's directorial 'Jawan'.

After the awards were announced, global icon Kamal Haasan took to his social media page to congratulate Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Massey, and Rani Mukherjee on bagging the presitigous award.

Kamal Haasan extends warm wishes to South Indian winners
Not only Bollywood stars, Kamal Haasan has also congratulated South stars for their National Awards as well. Expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the makers of 'Parking', which won awards in 3 major categories, director Ramkumar Balakrishnan and M.S. Bhaskar, who won the Best Supporting Actor award. Similarly, he also congratulated G.V. Prakash, who won the Best Music Director award for the film 'Vaathi', and Urvashi, who won the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in the Malayalam film 'Ullozhukku', Saravanamuthu Soundarapandi and Meenakshi Soman, who won the Best Cinematography Award for the documentary 'Little Wings'.
